1928 Alvis 12/50 TG Tourer
This 1928 Alvis 12/50 TG has sporting 'dual cowl' tourer coachwork by A. H. Storey of London. It is reputed to be the sole Alvis bodied by this company. The car has been stored for the past 7 years due to bereavement and is now running, although a recommissioning service will be required before the car takes to the road once more. It would appear to be in good sound order mechanically and the coachwork is also sound and presentable, including the hood and tonneau cover. Among the documentation is a copy of the original spare parts catalogue, much information from the Vintage Alvis manual, lubrication details together with numerous other useful publications including wiring diagrams etc. A buff RF60 Log Book attesting to the original Dumfries registration number, dates back to 1956, showing the car to have resided at RAF Chigwell at that time. This car is sure to create considerable interest as it is very much in the condition that they were seen in 50 years ago and, as such, it exudes considerable charm and character. Whilst requiring some TLC, this nevertheless represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most highly regarded, vintage sporting motor cars for a realistic sum.
