1928 Austin 12/4 Windsor Saloon

This 1928 Austin 12/4 Windsor Saloon is one of the last of this style with the loop handles and divided windscreen.  Being a late model, it is the 5T wide track series and is very correct in its detail.  Finished in deep maroon and black with dark red buttoned leather interior, the car was extensively rebuilt approximately 25 years ago and remains in very good order throughout.  The engine runs particularly sweetly with good oil pressure and the tyres have recently been renewed.  It is fitted with a luggage carrier - essential for touring.  MOT certificate until November 2011. With the support of the Vintage Austin Register, Austin 12/4s are very easy to live with, benefiting from good spares availability.
