1932 MG J1 Midget.
This example of the rare J1 Midget 4 seat sports tourer was originally supplied by Mansfields of Hove, Sussex and first registered on 15th November 1932.
Extensively restored some 20 years ago, it benefited from an engine rebuild last year, which included a Phoenix crankshaft, new rods and pistons,rebored +020” , fitting of a full flow oil filter, new clutch, plus much more..only around 600 miles have been covered since.
Both pretty and practical, this charming MG is one of less than a dozen recorded survivors worldwide. This is the actual car featured in Richard Monk’s book “The MG Collection” and is well known in pre war MG circles.
A large file of documents includes a reprint of the Driver’s manual, ownership history, invoices and technical information, plus a VSCC Buff Form.
