1949 Allard M1 Drophead Coupe

Powered by the robust and reliable Ford V8 unit this M1 drophead coupe is one of just 500 of this model produced and has been in the current ownership for some 9 years.  Many bills are supplied and the car apparently underwent some restoration during the 1980s.  However, in fairness, it would now benefit from additional sorting and some cosmetic attention to the paintwork.  The hood is sound and the interior trim, which is in black ambla, is good and presentable.  The brake cylinders were overhauled and new brake hoses fitted in the last few months and the MOT certificate is valid until February 2012.  During the last few years the car has only seen occasional use.  Offering great potential to an Allard enthusiast, the car is very realistically priced.
