1951 MG TD
The most prolific of the 'T' Series MGs, the TD appeared in 1950 and was the enjoy a three year production run of 29,664 units. Especially popular in the United States, the TD was a considerably more up to date machine than its predecessor, featuring independent front suspension and rack and pinion steering, making for sure footed handling.
The TD we offer here is a home market original RHD model, first registered in Blackpool on 8th November 1951. Finished in Shires Green with beige leather interior, the car is in very smart order having clearly been the subject of extensive restoration some while ago.
It was in the hands of its last owner for 21 years and during this time covered just 3094 miles. MOT certificates are supplied dating back to 1972 along with many maintenance bills showing the car to have been cared for by the Haynes Motor Museum workshop for the past 15 years. The original buff RF60 logbook is included and the MG has a good, serviceable hood and sidescreens, plus new full and half tonneau covers in beige Double Duck material.
