1926 Morris Oxford 3/4 Drop Head Coupe - Now Sold
The ‘Bullnose’ Morris remains one of the most widely recognised motor cars of the Vintage era and survivors enjoy the suppost of the long-established Bullnose Morris Club, with good spares support and a variety of events to participate in.
Presented here is a delightful example of the ‘Three Quarter Folding Head Coupe’, to use Morris parlance. It was introduced for 1926 in order to meet the demand for a well equipped and comfortable 2 seater coupe with glass windows and a quality lined hood, affording excellent weather protection, as well as having all the amenities of a fixed head coupe when fully enclosed.
Priced at a competitive £295, this model of the ‘14/28’ Oxford had considerable appeal to doctors and other professionals.
In very good order throughout and to original specification, this motor car was first registered in July 1926 and retains its original registration number. The Dynomotor has been overhauled recently and the hood was renewed in 2014.
Well cared for and regularly used in recent years including attending several Bullnose Morris Club National Rallies, the car is offered with much paperwork including an old RF60 logbook dating back to 1945 and a photostat copy of the Morris Oxford & Cowley Manual.
