1926 Singer 10/26 Tourer
Another of the Coventry manufacturers with their roots in the cycle industry, Singer expanded rapidly and by the late 1920s had 44 acres of factories and employed over 8000 personnel.
Their broad range at this period included the ‘Junior’ and ‘10/26’ models - the latter proving a very popular choice in the 10hp sector of the market with some 15,500 being produced in saloon and tourer form.
This 1926 Tourer has spent a remarkable 61 years in the current owner’s hands. It has taken part in numerous rallies and events and remains in very original order.
The hood and sidescreens are in serviceable condition and the car presents well, being finished in claret and retaining what would almost certainly be the original black upholstery.
A charming Vintage light car with a pleasing patina reflecting such a long period of single ownership.
