1928 Austin Twelve Windsor

One of the most widely recognised of Vintage motor cars, due in no small part to the ‘Gumdrop’ stories for children by the late Val Biro, the Austin Twelve has survived in good numbers by virtue of its sturdy construction and sound design.

The Austin Twelve gained many admirers and it became the byword for dependability with many examples remaining in everyday use right through the 1960’s.

This 1928 Windsor saloon was supplied by us to the present owner during 2011. It has been used and enjoyed during that time, proving very reliable.

The car presents well with correct fixtures and fittings, whilst the interior is the original style buttoned hide, although the front seats have faded somewhat and would benefit from re-colouring with leather dye.

With excellent support through the Vintage Austin Register, the Austin Twelve is a straightforward car to maintain and is worthy of consideration by those seeking an entry to Vintage motoring at a modest sum.
