1932 Riley 9 Lynx
Just arrived at The Garage
1932 Riley 9 lynx
A well maintained car that has proved its worth touring on the Continent - fitted with the desirable Brooklands Remote gear-change.
The replacement for the Nine four seat tourer came in the form of the Lynx, which debuted at the 1932 Motor Show. Also available with a choice of two six cylinder engines, the new Lynx was a most attractive motor car with sporting lines and a hood which, when folded, was concealed under a hinged panel, making for a very stylish and sleek appearance.
Today, the ‘disappearing hood’ Lynx is highly sought after, as the model was only produced for the 1933 season, as the Lynx was continued from late 1933 with slightly larger 4 door coachwork.
As with many Rileys, Lynxes were popular with sporting motorists and a number saw action in rallies and reliability trials.
