1933 Riley 9 Lynx - Now Sold

NOW SOLD

Without doubt one of the prettiest of all open Riley Nine models, the 2 door Lynx, with disappearing hood was built for just one season and produced from October 1932 until September 1933. With its deep cutaway doors and rakish style, this has always been a highly sought after model.

This particular example is certainly one of the best of this model in existence. Restored by Barrie Gillies between 1988 - 92, it was in the hands of one owner from 1957 until his death in 2002. Originally resident in Ireland, the car came to London in 1950, hence the registration number from that year.

Previously owned by ourselves between 2006 - 2009, we prepared the car to concours standard and it achieved awards at the Riley Register Coventry Rally on 2007 and 2008. It was then sold to a gentleman in Warwickshire who only covered a small mileage. We re-acquired the car this year and recommissioned it and it is once again in exceptional condition. It has also recently  attended a couple of events where it has been greatly admired.

Known to the Riley Register since 1957, there is history dating back over 60 years and a vast amount of paperwork included.

A rare opportunity to own a fine example of this delightful model.
