1935 Austin 7 Pearl Cabriolet
Based on the Ruby, which appeared in August 1934, the Pearl Cabriolet was an attractive and versatile model which offered the convenience and comfort of a saloon, but with an opening roof which could be easily operated and used in either half way or fully open positions.
First registered in December 1935 to a Mrs. Emma Tottenham of Newry, Northern Ireland, the car was to remain in her ownership for 31 years. It stayed in Northern Ireland until coming to reside in Huntingdon around 16 years ago and it has been with the current custodian since 2001.
Finished in Dove Grey, as original, the car has benefited from a replacement hood in recent years. Clearly sympathetically restored some while ago, it remains in good order throughout with the original upholstery.
The engine has also undergone an overhaul several years ago and we have just fitted a new clutch assembly and serviced the car.
Numerous bills and paperwork are supplied, along with the original buff logbook.
