1936 Talbot Ten Sports Tourer - Now Sold
Following the acquisition of the Sunbeam-Talbot-Darracq combine by the Rootes Brothers in 1935, subsequent models were to use Hillman and Humber components. New for 1936 the Talbot Ten was a most attractive 10 hp model available as an 'airline' two door Saloon, a drophead coupe, or a rakish Sports Tourer, with coachwork by Whittingham & Mitchell. An example of the latter model is offered for sale here.
Completed at the Works on the 8th December 1936, the car was delivered to its first owner on the 12th January the following year.
Restored to a very good standard some years ago the car has been lovingly cared for and lightly used in recent times.
Finished in Ivory with blue leather trim and weather equipment in double duck material, which includes a full tonneau cover, it is of particularly pleasing appearance, and, being an early model it has the more desirable fitment of wire wheels.
A comprehensive file of paperwork is included with many bills dating back almost 40 years. This car was previously supplied by us some six years ago.
The original handbook is supplied and also included is a considerable amount of information from the Sunbeam Talbot Alpine Register plus a RF60 Green log book dating back to 1963. The original registration number remains on the car.
