1937 Morris 8 Series 1  Two Seat Tourer

The replacement for the original Morris Minor, the Morris Eight made its debut in September 1934, proving an instant success and putting Morris among the front runners in the small car class.

Available in two and four door saloon form and also as a two seat or four seat tourer, the Morris Eight boasted a good specification which included hydraulic brakes.

The tourers were especially popular with their fold flat windscreens and cutaway doors giving quite a sporty appearance.

Presented here is a 1937 two seat tourer, being a late example of the Series 1. Restored to an excellent standard, it is correct in all details and very smart in maroon with red trim.

All weather equipment is in first class order and this characterful little Morris would make an ideal entry to pre-war motoring, benefiting from very good spares availability and support from the Morris Register.
