1937 Riley 12/4 Lynx  (special series engine)

A very popular model, both today as well as in its heyday, the Riley Lynx had originally appeared at the 1932 Motor Show in 9hp form and was also available as a six-cylinder version. (Special series engine)

By the Autumn of 1934, a new version was available powered by the recently introduced 12/4 engine. A Preselector gearbox was fitted and the 12/4 Lynx was a delight to drive and was well equipped as befitting a Riley product.

This particular 12/4 Lynx has the Special Series’ engine with twin SU carburettors and it also has the ‘Sprite’ instrumentation. Professionally restored by specialists some years ago, it has been in the present ownership for almost 20 years and has been enjoyed on many events and Continental trips proving to be extremely reliable.
The coachwork is finished in Midnight Blue with maroon leather trim and matching wheels.

The optional spare wheel cover is fitted and the car has period Lucas long range lamps. For safety in today’s traffic flashing indicators are also fitted.

A comfortable and pleasurable motor car to drive, this Riley Lynx is also a brisk performer.

Full weather equipment in serviceable condition is included.
