In the previous ownership for almost 35 years, this 1946 MG TC was the subject of a meticulous restoration some years ago. Since completion it has been carefully maintained and enjoyed, being well known in MGCC T Register circles. To original specification with matching numbers, the car is finished in the MG colour of Ivory, with brown leather upholstery. The hood, sidescreens and hood cover are all in good order and the car drives really well, and we have used it on a couple of events recently.
According to Factory production records, provided by the MGCC T Register, the car was built on the 18th September 1946. It was registered in Leeds nine days later and retains the original registration number. A high-level brake lamp and flashing indicators have been added for safety in today’s traffic conditions.
Complete with luggage rack – essential for touring, this delightful MG TC is ready for summer motoring.
An old style RF60 logbook dating back to 1959 is included in the file of documents, along with several photos of the restoration in progress, plus a copy of the aforementioned Factory Production record sheet.
