1948 Sunbeam Talbot Ten Sports Tourer

One of the most attractive small sporting tourers of the immediately pre and just post war period, the Sunbeam Talbot ten was very well equipped and featured metallic paintwork at a time when this was rarely seen on small cars.

This example is from the final year of production and is in very smart order, having been professionally restored some years ago by David Wall of Wroxham.
Delivered to Melvin Motors of Glasgow on 24th March 1948, it was purchased by a gentleman in Lanarkshire. It has had relatively few owners since and in more recent times has proved extremely reliable, having attended the Fougeres Rally in Brittany in 2014 and a Club event the following year in Arras.

The car won an award at the STAR National Rally three years ago and has been enjoyed by its enthusiastic owner, who is now restoring another Sunbeam Talbot.
There is very good weather equipment, including a full tonneau cover and hood bag. The 1.2 litre engine gives a surprisingly brisk performance, with 50 + mph cruising on the open road.

Among the document there is an old RF60 log book dating back to 1958.
