1968 MGC Roadster - recent bare shell restoration

With just 8,999 examples built over just two years, with a more or less equal split between Roadsters and GT models, the MGC  has never been a particularly common sight on UK roads as many were destined for overseas.

Presented for sale here is an extremely well restored Roadster in Mineral Blue.  The subject of a bare shell rebuild carried out by a well known MG Specialist and was completed around 18 months ago, the car has covered approximately 5,000 miles subsequently.  The engine has been rebuilt to an exacting standard with gas flowed head, a slightly hotter camshaft and lightened flywheel.  A crankshaft damper has been fitted which makes for noticeable smoothness,  There is an extractor exhaust system and, as someone who has personally owned an MGC and driven a great many - I can happily state that this is one of the best examples I have driven.  The specification includes overdrive.

The leather seats are recliners from a GT model and the correct leather covered steering wheel is still fitted - something of a rarity these days.  Every detail of the interior is new.  The 72 spoke wire-wheels are slightly wider and Koni shock absorbers and polybushed suspension ensure precise handling.

We have a vast number of photographs showing the car during rebuild and for someone considering an MGC this car is worthy of serious consideration.  First registered on 13th May 1968, the car has the Green VE60 log book.

New weather equipment in blue double duck material makes this a most attractive motor car.
