Alresford Allsorts Car Club meet up
It was great to host one of the most enthusiastic car clubs last week – The Alresford Allsorts Car Club.
This local club encompasses motor cars of all periods from Veterans to modern classics which is a wonderful combination.
Such was the enthusiasm for a visit, we were oversubscribed and many more members will be coming to see us for another gathering in the Spring! Around 40 guests joined us this time at the garage, for a post breakfast Coffee Meet.
Having all enjoyed a hearty breakfast @The Tichborne Arms beforehand, these hardy petrol heads braved the torrential rain to come and see us!
Members cars included:
· 1934 Supercharged MG PA
· 1960 Austin-Healey ‘Frogeye’ Sprite
· 1933 Austin 18 ‘Carlton’,
· 1933 Austin 16 Salmons Tickford Drophead Coupe,
· 1972 MGB GT
· E-Type Jaguar and an XJS Coupe
Plus lots of modern cars for those not wishing to clean their wire wheels!
Despite the weather being horrid, everyone was in great form and through much chatter and copious cups of coffee, lots of laughter was shared along with both Stollen & Mince Pies!
This was the first of our ‘Cars, Coffee’n’Cake meets since before lockdown, when we had got in to a great rhythm of hosting 4 or 5 events a year. We must say that it was really good to welcome such a great bunch of enthusiasts and friends to our emporium.
